The web has definitely gone mobile.

We’ve been banging on about the mobile web for ages, but you really can’t ignore the stats. According to Google themselves, over 25% of all searches on Google last month were from mobile devices.

The majority of media consumption is now screen-based, which changes the way we think about consumer engagement. It’s not as simple of mobile versus desktop because many of us now switch between multiple screens to achieve our goals. If your website doesn’t consider everyone, your visitors will promptly move on to a competitor’s site that provides a better user experience.

In 2014, mobile internet usage is expected eclipse desktop usage. It’s estimated that connected devices will soon outnumber the world’s population, scary stuff!
