We’re fighting for food education
We’re joining the revolution! It’s #FoodRevolutionDay this week, so what’s it all about?
Jamie Oliver is back — and he’s back fighting — looking to arm future generations with the life skills they need to lead healthier, happier and more productive lives. Food Revolution Day is a global campaign led by Jamie Oliver, who wants to see compulsory practical food education on the school curriculum.
Only last month we published an article on about exercise and obesity, which looks at the way certain brands are marketing their products and the public health message around diet and exercise. Did you know that children today are the first generation predicted to live shorter lives than their parents? Across the world, there are more than 42 million children under the age of FIVE who are overweight or obese. Some of the statistics are shocking, but the goal is simple — get as many people as possible to sign and share the petition!
This campaign is running in 182 countries. It’s bold, passionate and decisive — and we love it! Jamie wants to create a movement powerful enough to make governments take action. Shareable and thought provoking, it’s a great campaign for an even greater cause. So what are you waiting for?
Share it. Sign it. Do it!
